    The Lady Spartans secured the top seed in the Western Mass Soccer Tournament.  The Spartans fought all season to put up an impressive 11-2-2 record, sharing the north county title with number four seed Wahconah.

season, and will hope to keep her form through the postseason.  Monday, November 7th,  the Spartans will take on Hoosac Valley, the ninth seed.  If they make it into the semi finals, though, there is a chance they will be awaited by Wahconah, a team who Monument has split a win and a loss.  

    “I’m excited but not satisfied,” senior captain Allison Kinne

 explained.  The team knows if they want to get deep in the tournament it will take hard work.  The Lady Spartans hope to redeem themselves in the final against a strong two seed, Granby,  who knocked them out last year.  “We know we have to work hard if we want another chance at beating Granby,” keeper Emily Rada stated.  

    Kickoff is at 5:00 under the lights at the Spartan Field tonight.
