Listen, style-watchers: I have found, since I started writing this column, that the well-dressed students of Monument can be very elusive.  If I don’t have my camera at the moment I stop them to tell them they should be a part of the Spartan Style Watch, I may never see them (at least in that outfit) again.  The reason I’m telling you this is because I had this very experience last Friday while searching for my weekly style stars. Both Lindsay Cavanaugh and Wilson Flower looked extra sharp, but while trying to find a time to photograph them, the end of the school day simply slipped away and it was suddenly too late to capture their looks.  So, in a pinch, I got the next best thing…read on to see the special “Editor’s Edition” of the Spartan Style Watch.
Jackson Teeley:  As I mentioned above, this an “Editor’s Edition” of my column; something I think I may do again in the future.  Jackson is one of the editors of the Maroon Tribune, and with this look, he’s setting a good example for the Tribune’s staff.  It’s a simple outfit, but I am a huge believer in less being more, so long as it is well-assembled.  The focus is a blue and white plaid H&M button-down, pulled together by three tones of gray: light gray cigarette jeans and a dark gray cardigan with charcoal gray trim.  His beanie also includes gray stitches with pops of black and brown.  Overall, this is a classic and relaxed look, not overwhelming to the eye but not so dull that my eye passed over it.  Good work Jackson: dressing the part of a student editor perfectly, I think.
